However the impact of the condition on individuals and our community does not differentiate and there is an overall need for a national type 2 diabetes prevention program funded and supported by all governments.

Caring for a person with type 2 diabetes is a long term commitment. In the early stages diabetes may not impact greatly on your lives, however if and when the condition progresses, significant changes can result in complications that could have been avoided with education, support and lifestyle changes. We must tell our national decision makers that Australia needs a national diabetes prevention program funded and supported by all governments.

Politicians

Our politicians, policy makers and community leaders are perfectly placed to make diabetes prevention a national health priority. Save millions of lives, save millions of dollars. Diabetes prevention is a smart investment.
